Thanks

Hi Everyone!
Today is my day to post for Crafting Family.

I so love being on their DT awesome papers and a fabulous company. What more can you ask for?
My project today is also being entered into a few challenges.

At Welch Creations, we needed to use a cricut or SVG cut, and at Sweet Stop Sketches. You guessed it I got the sketch :)  For the Die Cuttin Divas challenge Anything Goes!

So the paper is My Mind's Eye, it is the American Made collection and the paper is Stars of Loyalty.  I used both sides of the paper, and some blue cardstock from CF. The other papers were scraps from my bin.   I used a cut from My Scrap Chick for the awareness ribbon.  The thanks is from K Andrew Designs, the set is Winter Wishes.

I did some dashing and it was done.

I hope you have a fabulous day and don't forget to check out the Crafting Family site. :)

Reach for the stars

Hi Everyone,
I have a graduation card for you. This is the first one I have ever made.  It is for a relative of my husbands. He has been pestering me for weeks to get this done. So i found this video online for the instructions to make this card.  Click here for the video. Listen to the instructions carefully cause I wasted some cardstock, cause I missed directions.
Anyway, I am entering this in 3 challenges.
Fantabulous Cricut
Celebrate the Occasion
 My Craft Spot

It is a simple card, I had no idea what the school colors were and I have only met the graduate once. So I hope he likes it. The black and white paper were scraps.  I used some K Andrew Designs stamps.
The reach for the stars is from Of Mice and Little Men , wishing you is from Splashtastic Summer, and the best is from Food for Thought.

You blow me away

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share this little card with you today.  I liked this sketch at the Sweet Stop.  I did remove the circle from the sketch because I did too much ruffle and the circle didn't work, so I reworked the design.

So I chose 2 different papers for the card and then some blue ribbon for the ruffle. This is the first time I have made a pinwheel and it turned out so cute. I think next time I would make it a little smaller.

I used K Andrew Designs new stamp set Guy Talk.  I love this set. I have already made a few things with it, and I see so many uses that aren't guy related.

Check it out!

I am so excited. I love twine, but I am cheap and don't want to spend a ton of money on it. So... Guess what?
K Andrew Designs is now selling twine!!  100 yard spools for $5. Seriously, what an awesome idea. There is a limited quantity of some of the colors, but you need to go check it out.  There are 14 colors and this is thick nice quality twine, it is 12 ply.  I love it, you will be seeing it a lot on my projects!

DT project for CraftingFamily.com

Hi Everyone ,
I hope you are having a fabulous day.  Today is my day for creating for Crafting Family.  I am working on a really big project for a few weeks from now, so I kept today's project simple.

I made this card...

I got to play with the MME Boy Collection Good Day Sunshine.  The guitar and little cassette tapes are the same piece of paper.  The blue cardstock is also from Crafting Family.

I tried to copy the ebay pic but it didn't work.
This whole set is on sale on Crafting Family's ebay page.

click here to go check it out.

The green and cream cardstock were from my scrap pile.  I kept it simple because I didn't think my hubby wanted a girly father's day card...lol

The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs, Guy Talk.

I used my cricut and the the gypsy wanderings, and everyday paper dolls.  I little dotting and it was ready to go.  I am going to let Princess Buttercup stamp the inside with whatever sayings she wants, when it is closer to Father's day.

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!
This is a Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge Day. Woohoo!! :)

We were challenged to make a Disney Themed project.

Over a year ago, my husband got a Disney Themed scrapbook kit for our daughter. She started and then lost interest and it fell to me to work on it. At the time, I really didn't know what to do, so everything was so simple. Now the trip is getting closer and I am fixing and adding to all the pages.  I took the papers off and added twine, and embossing to make them pop. Then I did some doodling around the edges.  The best addition was the stamps. I love this set.  It is the Of Mice and Little Men set.

The best part of the set it, even though it is perfect for Disney themed projects, you can also use the sentiments for so many other things. I plan on making a graduation card and use the Reach for the Stars.
I love how it turned out and can't wait to redo all the other pages and add all the sentiments. :)
Anyway, enough babbling...lol
Check out all the DT projects and join in the challenge.

Summertime for me is Sunshine and vacation.  I love being able to go on vacation and just do nothing.

I made this magnetic photoboard.  It is a piece of 5x7 metal sheeting. I covered it in paper and then added my mats and such.  I glittered it like crazy. It is going to be a gift for my sister in law for letting us stay with her while in Cali.  She is taking us to the beach and arranged to take us to Disney.  She is super awesome, and I will make a lot of stuff for her before we go.
I also plan on making a little sun magnet I just ran out of time :(

My first project for Crafting Family Design Team

I am very excited. I am not a part of  Crafting Family Design team.  You really need to check out the blog and the store, craftingfamily. Lots of cute stuff. :)

So here is my project I created.  It was my very first explosion box. I did a simple one, but I plan on making more of these.  :)

It was an easy project. I took a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and scored it at 4 inches, and 8 inches, turned it 90 degrees and scored at 4 and 8. Then I scored a diagonal line in the 4 outer corners.
The light blue cardstock, and patterned paper is from Crafting Family.

 I used...
iron orchid designs steel toe mary jane collection "miss adventure"  (both sides)
pebbles  happy go lucky collection "dandy" both sides
blue cardstock

The orange is from my pile, I used gel pens, eye-lets from Eye-lets Etc, and Bloom-lets.

So that is my project. I really hope you like it and go check out the Crafting Family sites. Plus like them on Facebook, they are doing a giveaway :)

Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning everyone and Happy Mother's Day. :)

I wanted to share the card I made for my mom this morning. I let Princess Buttercup pick out all the paper and materials and I just put it together.

I used this sketch from Sweet Stop.

Then I used the challenge at Hiding in my Craftroom which was to use scraps.

Everything on this card came from my scrap bin.  So I made my card base, then cut the pink for the mat, and the yellow for accent. I wrapped twine around the yellow and through the buttons. The flowers were from Michaels.  Did some dashing with my gel pen, some stickles and added the sentiment from K Andrew Designs  the set is Crafty Friends.

Have a great day :)
