This hop will share projects created with St. Patrick’s Day and the “Luck of the Irish” in mind.
Now, you don’t have to be Irish to be the Lucky Winner of the Pinque Peacock Sponsored Prize.
One winner, who has hopped all 3 days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) will win this . . . .

Do YOU want to WIN?
            Here is How*:
1 – Hop to ALL of the stops over the course of the 3 Day Hop and comment at each Pinquette Blog (Lineup for all 3 Days is below)
3 – Follow EACH of the Pinquettes’ Personal Blogs who are participating as Hop Stops this weekend.
So you should have hopped her from Donna, if not please start at the top of the hop. I made a simple project for the hop. When I opened my Pinque Peacock goodie back my daughter saw this and wanted it.

So we glittered it with stickles and made it a hair clip. I left a little bit of the clip showing cause that is how Princess Buttercup wanted it :D

I hope you like it, Buttercup loves it and can't wait to wear it to school.  Next stop on the hop Nupur

Dishwasher sign

Hi :)
I wanted to jump on and share another project from my time on Paper Craft Island. I can't remember exactly what the challenge was, but I believe it was use red, orange, brown and some stitching. I think....

Anyway, this is a magnetic dishwasher sign, so we always know if the dishwasher is clean or dirty.  It was a magnetic hall pass.It was in the teacher section at Michaels and I just covered over it.

Easy project but no more wondering about the dishwasher.
Have a great day.

Get Well Soon

I have a get well card to share with you today.
Everything on the card was from my scrap bin.  The image is from MelJen's Designs and I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils.

I don't know why the sentiment looks so light :( I had to take the pic with my phone. I woke up this morning and we had no heat. I had to take my camera batteries and put it in the thermostat so the heat would kick back on.

Altered Art Canvas

Happy Saturday Everyone :)
I have been trying to expand my crafty horizons. Sometimes I feel like a lot of my stuff is the same. So, I came up with this. It started out as this canvas that I got in the grab bags at Michaels.  Here is a before picture.

And here is the after.

This is how I made it....
I painted it black with some artist paint, it is a little thicker than craft paint and since I had it I used it.  The white paper was embossed with a Fiskars texture plate, you can use them in the big shot. If you get a rubber mat. Mine is a plumbing gasket I got for $1 at Lowe's. Anyway. I first added ribbon around the edges of the white with a glue pen.
I knew I wanted to be able to change out the picture so before I glue it to the canvas I added a paper clip and it is hidden underneath the big cream rose at the top.  All of the flowers are from a wonderful seller on Facebook. The group is called scrapbook deal and the lady's name is Barbara. She is the owner of the group. Her flowers are gorgeous and super reasonably priced.

I am entering this at DL ART Thankful Thursday Use Pink or Red
3Girl Jam Challenge, 3D valentine's project with Ribbon
Whimical Designs All about Love      I think this has a romantic feel to it :)
Make it Monday
Simply Create Too Valentines Day or Hearts

the only change I may make is I might wrap tulle or ribbon around the outside and put  a bow on top to finish it off. I like it like this so I am debating about the tulle. What do you think?
I am going to give this to my daughters religon class teacher for Valentine's day.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Don't over look grab bags

Hi Everyone,
This post is crafty related but without a project. You know how Michaels often has the grab bags for $2. Well I usually peek at them, but never buy them. I think, "what if you get stuff you won't us"e. Well I will never over look them again.  My mom and I went shopping and were looking and in one bag she saw Squinkies, so for $2 we got that one just for the squinkies. We looked in another bag and she saw some crafty stuff she wanted, so we picked up that one and another one. We take them home and OH MY GOODNESS!!  We found 2 sets of Spellbinders dies and stamps that coordinate, the squinkies and a ton of other stuff. It was about $300 worth of stuff in the 3 bags.  Some it was the leftovers from the $1.50 but there were some big ticket items, a mosaic hurricane, a cheese spreader and dish.  We were shocked at the amazing things, so we went back and got a few more bags.  It was absolutely one of the best deals that we had found. So next time they are definitely on the list to look at.  I will have a project for you later today that started as something from one of the grab bags. I will see if my mom will email the picture. We took a picture after the first trip because we were so amazed at what we got.  Some of the stuff is going in the bin for my 2 year blogaversary prizes.

Enough rambling :)
